Narendra Modi visited the USA. This was his 4th visit to America after he became the PM. However, it was his first after the election of Donald Trump as President. Many though that Trump-Modi meeting would be difficult but the Indian PM carried everything before him with aplomb. He hit off well with the US President and also showed his acumen by inviting his daughter Ivanka Trump to India to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. to Ivanka is a masterstroke as the girl is known to have the ear of the president. Her husband Jared Kushner is also a senior advisor to Trump and his son in law. Ivanka Trump has accepted the invitation. She will lead the American delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India to be held at New Delhi. Modi is set to welcome her. Even Opposition leaders have complimented Modi on his master stroke of getting through to the US president who has strong ties with his daughter. Omar Abdullah was particularly appreciative and mentioned so on Twitter. Ivanka is a great enthusiast of women's rights and also an independent entrepreneur in her own right. She is a brand name and as rumored she was the one who advised Trump to launch the missile attack on Syria. Modi is following the right path in making a niche for himself in the American polity.
